PAT’S THOUGHTS:

Fun fact – UTEP is dogshit at football.  They have lost 14 straight and are only 2-12 ATS in that span.  They gave up 414 yards on the ground last week to UNLV.  They are 0-21-1 all time when playing in the eastern time zone.  This is the 2nd straight roadie and they will be going to unfamiliar territory (100k+ stadium).
Tennessee needs some big wins to appease the home crowd.  They won by 56 last week vs ETSU, and I see Pruitt running up the score again this week.  The fact of the matter is Tennessee can win by as many as they want to.  Pruitt can see the upcoming schedule with Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Alabama and South Carolina on deck (in that order), and he knows there won’t be many good times over the next several weeks.
I hate seeing the line action on this game though.  87% of the public is on the Vols.  I still see Tennessee laying the wood to an overmatched UTEP team, but that gives me pause.
